The Brief

Forum Court Associates was commissioned to deliver the AGS Annual Conference 2025; the Association’s flagship event which brings together professionals from across the geotechnical and geoenvironmental sectors.

The brief called for a highly engaging, content-rich day that offered valuable industry insights, encouraged networking, and provided a polished platform for sponsors and exhibitors.

We were responsible for the full end-to-end management of the event, including:

  • Venue Sourcing & Liaison: sourcing the venue and coordinating both the conference and networking reception with our designated event planner.
  • Programme Planning: curating a varied and topical agenda featuring high-profile speakers and panel discussions.
  • Speaker Liaison: managing guests and invites, briefing speakers, and coordinating presentations.
  • Sponsorship & Exhibition Management: securing commercial partners, maximising visibility for sponsors, and managing exhibition logistics.
  • Delegate Management: handling online registrations, confirmations, and on-site check-in.
  • Venue & Technical Coordination: overseeing AV requirements, catering schedules, and room layouts.
  • On-the-Day Delivery: providing on-site support to ensure the event ran seamlessly from start to finish.
  • Virtual Awards Segment: issued awards and certificates to select members of the AGS in advance of the event, and created a short video featuring member acceptance speeches, which was shown during the event.
  • Post-Event Analysis: issuing in depth feedback surveys to both speakers and sponsors and analysing the results.

The 2025 agenda featured a strong line-up of expert speakers covering a range of presentations including:

  • Advancing Geotechnical Monitoring: The Expanding Role of Satellite InSAR in Risk Management
  • Generative AI in Ground Engineering – The Good, The Bad, and the Average

The event also included interactive Q&As, an Awards segment, networking breaks, and a bustling exhibition area featuring sponsors and industry suppliers, plus a networking drinks and canapé reception once the conference had finished.


Results & Feedback

The AGS Annual Conference 2025 was a sell-out event will attracted 240 delegates, with strong representation from across the industry. Feedback from attendees, sponsors, and speakers was overwhelmingly positive, praising both the smooth organisation and the quality of the content. The event successfully balanced technical learning, networking opportunities, and commercial engagement, reinforcing the Conference’s position as a key date in the AGS calendar.
